Alex and Stacey’s wedding was so different than any other wedding I’ve been a part of for many reasons. The first being that two families were coming together from two different countries. Stacey met Alex while working in Australia, he obviously fell smitten for this American girl, then eventually decided to live happily ever after in a new city to both of them- Chicago! It was incredibly heartwarming to see their two families sharing so much love for each other, despite living opposite ends of the world, and embracing each others cultures. One of my favorite details that was inspired by both their love for Australia was the adorable seating chart made with little koalas and boomerangs. Definitely the first time I’ve ever squealed over a seating chart- it’s the cutest thing ever! Another different and very fun activity from Alex and Stacey’s wedding was the trolly ride around Chicago. It was the perfect way to get around and take advantage of all the beautiful locations in the city for their portraits. Plus, the perfect way to blast the best 90’s rap songs with your best friends.
