Today I am super excited to be sharing this lifestyle session that features Evan from Wildly Evie. (and also her cute doggie, Max!) Who is Evan from Wildly Evie? She is a 25 year-old (soon-to-be 26!) who is a total SoCal beach girl livin’ the life in Newport Beach, Ca. She is all about fashion, fitness, and all things fun really, and is sharing all of those things through her new Instagram blog, Wildly Evie! I sat down with Evan and did a little Q&A so that her followers can get to know her a little more and find out just what Wildly Evie is all about!
Don’t forget to check her out on Instagram: @Wildly_Evie
Who is Wildly Evie?
My given name is Evan, but as a baby girl I was quickly given the nickname “Evie”. All my life I was referred to by my real name, but my close friends and family would call me by my nickname. “Evie” has always been a special name to me because if anyone knew to call me by that name it meant that they were someone very close and special to me. I love the name. Growing up with a boy name, “Evie” always seemed so sweet, playful and girly. At this point in my life I don’t mind a unique name, but “Evie” will always be my favorite as it represents the real me!

How did Wildly Evie come about?
This is totally my quarter life crisis! I think it was about the time I was 16 years old, I thought I figured out what I wanted to do with my life, a career in public relations. I could not wait to get out of high school. Then I started college, had incredible opportunities with public relations internships, then about my third year in college I was ready to just graduate and start working. I was lucky enough to score a job with a pretty big marketing agency just before graduation. I went straight to work. I made it a personal goal of mine to move to Southern California within a years time. So after a year with the marketing agency, I made the move to Newport Beach. After some time in the job market, I scored a job with a huge advertising agency. This was one of the most demanding jobs I had ever had. It was hard work and I had a major reality check. Was this what I really wanted? I understood the concept of putting in my time, but I saw where the growth led and I really had to think if it was where I wanted to be in 5-10 years. Cue quarter life crisis. I had been spending so much of my time and energy on this path that I had created for myself that I didn’t stop to think about it was really what I wanted, if it was really what was meant for me. I had this epiphany that there was so much more to life and rather than stressing about ads pushing out on time or making sure the client approves the 16th logo draft, I should be focusing on what really matters to me. My family, my friends, and what makes me really happy… cue Wildly Evie!

What is your Instagram blog about?
First of all I’m not one to sit and read blog after blog, no matter how cool they are. But I love following blogger’s Instagram feeds! So I decided to create an Instagram feed myself. Wildly Evie is a lifestyle Instagram where I share my passion for travel, food, fashion, fitness, beauty, art, and basically all things pretty. To put it simply, this is my way of sharing what I love and what inspires me. I wouldn’t say I’m a professional, but this has been a fun project that has allowed me to channel my creative side!
What do you want your followers to know about you?
I’m totally new to this! I’m still learning a lot about this whole Instagram blogging craze. I follow a lot of fun bloggers that inspire me to be creative and have opened this whole new world to me. I’m having a lot of fun getting started and I just hope that I too can be an inspiration to someone.

What inspires you and the posts for your blog? Inspirations?
I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world and have been exposed to different cultures. It’s because of this that I have a little creative side. I love art, music, dance, and fashion and absolutely love to travel. With Wildly Evie I can share my passion for all of these things.
I was quite the picky eater when I was little, but in the past few years I started cooking a lot, and it was through getting creative with recipes that helped open me up to trying new and different foods. I hope that my way of making recipes my own will inspire someone else to be creative with cooking too!
I guess you can say that I have always been an active girl. I was in the dance studio by the time I was 3 years old through college, I played competitive volleyball since I was 11 years old through high school, and I was exposed to the fitness industry while working at Equinox in Southern California. I wouldn’t say that I’m an expert, but fitness has definitely been a big part of my life and keeping active has been great not just for my body, but for my mind and soul!

What do you hope your followers take away from your blog?
I hope that my followers will be inspired by my appreciation for life. Have fun and do what makes you happy!
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I absolutely love to sit on the beach and watch the sunset. It really gives me time to reflect on what’s important to me and appreciate the life I am lucky enough to have!

Not only is Evan super sweet and talented, but also a friend of mine and I know she is on her way to doing great things, so be sure to stay up to date with her and all of her awesomeness on her Insta blog! @Wildly_Evie
